One of the best and easiest home improvement projects for the do-it-yourselfer is to paint. Many people look at this as a necessary chore that is time consuming and boring. It does not have to be either boring or time consuming. The way to make your painting project fun and quick is to turn it into a party. Get on the phone, Facebook, Twitter, and ask your coworkers to come over and help. Do not ask them to help you paint. That will turn them off, so call it a painting party! Tell everyone to dress down and sexy. Your friends are sure to show up for the chance to see each other in skimpy clothes. You could also make it bras and boxers painting party. Even if this is not an option, it is a good idea to let people know that there will be actual painting going on, so they need to wear old clothes that could get paint on them. Let them know it is easier to get paint off of skin than it is to get paint off of clothes.

Music is something that will be required. No, you do not have to hire a DJ for your painting party, but you do need to have some music playing. This will help keep the mood positive and make the job go quicker. It does not matter what kind of music you have, just make sure you have something to keep them entertained.

Food is also important. Do not have the standard pizza and chips for your painting party, go out of your way and make some great food for the people who are helping you. You probably have some restaurants in the area that sell larger quantities of barbeque, wings or any other type of easily handled finger foods that taste great and will fill them up. If you have the time, make the food yourself, but it is probably just as easy to buy already prepared.

Have enough drinks for everyone. Painting can be hard work, so make sure you have enough water, juice, and soda for all your helpers. Think ahead and ask some of your friends if they have additional coolers they can bring to help keep the drinks cold. Stock up on ice the day before the party so you do not end up running to the store in the middle of the project. Alcohol is a great motivator, but you might want to wait until the painting is done before serving your guests any beer. Otherwise, your painting project could look like a drunken disaster area.
